Helen Krug von Nidda is a contagiously optimistic Executive Coach and seasoned trainer with over 20 years of international experience in Human Resources. Throughout her career, she has focused on coaching, training, and leadership development with an emphasis in the humanitarian sector and particularly on women’s professional growth. Helen has extensive facilitation and training experience, leading countless trainings and workshops in both French and English on four continents.
Prior to founding Rise Collective, she held senior positions in Human Resources: HR Strategic Partner at United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and Director of Talent Management at the International Rescue Committee (IRC). She also worked for UNICEF, the United Nations, the World Wildlife Fund for Nature (WWF) and, in the private sector, for Reuters, Sotheby’s, and Seagram’s. Currently in addition to Rise Collective, Helen works on select projects with Kite Global, a consultancy firm focused on supporting leadership teams within the humanitarian space.
Helen is a certified coach, Team Diagnostic Survey (TDS) Foundational practitioner, and licensed Career Counsellor. A Smith College graduate, she holds a B.A in Theatre and History, an M.A in H.R. Management from Webster University and is currently pursuing her Doctorate in Adult Learning and Leadership at Columbia University in New York.
Helen has lived and worked in France, Germany and Switzerland and currently resides in New York with her husband. When she isn’t fully immersed in furthering the Rise Collective mission, you might find her engaged in one of her two favourite pastimes – running along the Hudson River or indulging in a hot chocolate.
